TAKE ACTION: Maryland General Assembly Announces Legislation to Raise the Minimum Wage

February 3, 2025

The legislation raises the minimum wage to $20 through a ballot measure

The Maryland General Assembly announced legislation to raise the minimum wage to $20 through a ballot measure – even though the minimum wage was increased to $15 effective Jan. 1, 2025.

ACT NOW: Tell your legislators how increasing the minimum wage will increase your business.

Maryland ranks 50th in the nation for labor costs – meaning it costs more to employ someone in Maryland than anywhere else in the country. An additional increase in the minimum wage would only make it harder for small employers to hire and create new jobs.

Please share your story and tell legislators the impact increasing the minimum wage will have on your small business.
