NFIB State Director Dawn McVea said today the NFIB Mississippi PAC has endorsed Attorney General Lynn Fitch for a second full term in the Nov. 7 primary election. The political action committee is comprised solely of NFIB members.

“Lynn Fitch has done a tremendous job as attorney general,” McVea said. “She understands the challenges facing Mississippi’s small businesses. During her first term, Lynn Fitch helped small business owners navigate the many challenges that arose from the COVID-19 pandemic. She opposed onerous vaccine mandates that would have created confusion and exacerbated Mississippi’s labor shortage. She also protected job creators by defending the Unemployment Trust Fund against fraud and helping avoid higher payroll taxes.

“On behalf of our small business members, the NFIB Mississippi PAC is proud to endorse Lynn Fitch for a second full term as state attorney general,” McVea said.

Fitch said, “I am proud to have the support of the innovators and entrepreneurs of Mississippi’s small business community.

“Mississippi will be propelled to its best future by the power of our small business owners,” Fitch said. “I will continue to be their active partner and ensure they have the economic and regulatory environment that helps them develop our workforce, strengthen our communities, and grow the economy.”

Today’s endorsement puts the considerable grassroots support of the state’s small businesses behind Fitch’s campaign. Small business owners and their employees vote in large numbers and make a point of recruiting other entrepreneurs, friends, and family members to support the small-business candidate.
