Nebraska State Director Bob Hallstrom hosts virtual event with Sen. Linehan on the 2023 legislative session and what to expect in 2024.

Small business owners learned more about the transformational tax relief advanced by the Nebraska Unicameral during the 2023 legislative session during a virtual event hosted by NFIB State Director Bob Hallstrom. During the event, attendees were able to participate in a Q&A with special guest Sen. Lou Ann Linehan, who was instrumental in the tax relief effort. While discussing the effort to cut Nebraskans’ taxes, Sen. Linehan said:

“This year, because we were lucky and have had a tremendous amount of extra money, we were able to cut the top tax rate for business and the top rate for individuals to 3.99 percent. Huge undertaking, lots of credit all the way around. Governor Pillen who was not afraid to take big leaps. So we took some big leaps this year with his leadership.”

WATCH: NFIB Nebraska 2023 Legislative Session Wrap-Up Virtual Event Upon the conclusion of the virtual event, Hallstrom encouraged members to remain engaged and elect candidates who will support small business priorities with sound public policy:
