Working with lawmakers in Jeff City, NFIB Missouri saved your business time and money in 2023. Here’s how: Amendment Four Ensured that there will be no sales taxes on services and labor in Missouri. Makes it impossible for legislators to raise those taxes. SB 3 & 5 – Missouri Tax Reform; Supporting legislation in 2022 which would cut the individual income tax from 5.2% to 4.95%. Supporting legislation to lower the present corporate tax from its current rate of 4%. House Bill 417 – Workforce Development Supporting legislation which provides assistance for small businesses who which to help their employees further their education or need advanced technical training. House Bill 188 – E Verify Opposing this bill which would require all small businesses to use E-Verify if an applicant failed to produce any other form of I.D. The bill did not pass.
