TOPEKA (March 13, 2023) – Ahead of the House Committee on Taxation’s consideration of SB 169, a bill to create a flat tax in Kansas, NFIB State Director Dan Murray issued a statement urging legislators to provide tax relief for small business owners: “Our small business owners face a host of challenges, from the persistent worker shortage to rising prices. Tax relief would go a long way in shoring up our state’s recovery and provide meaningful relief for small business owners. Creating a flat tax would unleash economic growth, which means more jobs, higher wages, and greater opportunity for hardworking Kansans. We’ll continue to work with lawmakers to make tax relief a reality this legislative session.” Tomorrow, NFIB Kansas will be hosting Small Business Day at the Capitol. CLICK HERE to learn more.
