Take Action: How could property tax reductions benefit your small business?

Arizona’s small businesses shoulder an inequitable portion of the property tax burden. With your help, in the past few years, the Arizona Legislature cut taxes and provided needed relief for small businesses across our state. Now, we have the momentum to build on those tax cuts and strengthen our economic recovery.

With inflation continuing to skyrocket and a recession looming on the horizon, NFIB is asking the Legislature to accelerate the class one assessment ratio reduction to 15 percent from 2027 to 2025. We’re also asking lawmakers to increase the personal property tax exemption to $500,000 and enhance the accelerated depreciation schedule for property enrolled prior to the tax year 2022.

How can you help? Share your story with legislators. Help them understand how accelerating the timeframe for the business property tax reduction will help you keep your doors open. Share how increasing the personal property exemption from $207,366 to $500,000 would benefit your business.

Click the  “TAKE ACTION” button below to see examples of how this might impact your bottom line and share that with your legislators.
