The NFIB Tennessee PAC today launched a digital ad campaign asking people to “Vote for Tennessee’s Main Street Champions.”

“The outcome of this year’s legislative races will determine much of the small business agenda in Nashville the next two years,” NFIB State Director Jim Brown said. “It’s important that Tennesseans elect the candidates who support Main Street businesses.”

The digital ads direct readers to a special website, NFIB.com/TNSmallBizChampions, which includes information on voting hours and locations and a list of 19 legislative candidates endorsed by the NFIB Tennessee PAC in the Aug. 1 primary. These include (NFIB members are noted with an asterisk.):

  • Jon Lundberg* (Senate District 4)
  • Becky Duncan Massey (Senate District 6)
  • Ken Yager (Senate District 12)
  • Ferrell Haile* (Senate District 18)
  • Patsy Hazlewood (House District 27)
  • Chris Todd* (House District 73)

Brown said the NFIB Tennessee PAC will make another round of endorsements for general election races after the Aug. 1 primary.

The NFIB Tennessee PAC’s endorsement is critical to the candidates’ campaigns. Small business owners and their employees vote in high numbers and are known for urging friends, family members, and acquaintances to go to the polls. The NFIB Tennessee PAC’s support is based on the candidates’ positions and records on small business issues.
