Labor quality and availability are major issues for Georgia's small businesses

NFIB Joins Governor for Workforce Summit

Georgia Leadership Council member Stacey Reece was NFIB’s representative at today’s Governor’s Workforce Summit in Atlanta. The event focused on solutions for improving workforce development and preparing people for the available positions. “Labor can be a real challenge for Main Street businesses,” NFIB State Director Hunter Loggins said. “Forty percent of small business owners nationwide say they had openings they couldn’t fill in August, while owners rank labor quality as the second-most-important problem facing small businesses, after inflation. “We thank Governor Kemp for including NFIB in today’s event and look forward to working with him and legislative leaders in next year’s session of the General Assembly on solutions that help workers and employers alike.”
