Florida’s Small Businesses Congratulate Ashley Moody on Her Appointment to the U.S. Senate

January 16, 2025

Gov. DeSantis named Moody to Sen. Rubio’s Senate seat

NFIB Florida Executive Director Bill Herrle issued the below statement following Gov. DeSantis naming Attorney General Ashley Moody to Florida’s U.S. Senate seat recently vacated by Sen. Rubio:

“Attorney General Ashley Moody has been a fierce defender of Florida’s small businesses, and we are confident that she will continue to be a small business ally in the U.S. Senate. As Attorney General, she worked hard to protect small businesses from burdensome government regulations and costly mandates. We know she will continue prioritizing these issues in the Senate, and we look forward to working with her in her new role.”
