4 Candidates for Statewide Office Earn Small Business Endorsements

The NFIB North Carolina PAC, a political action committee comprised exclusively of NFIB members from throughout the state, said today it has endorsed:

  • Hal Weatherman for Lieutenant Governor
  • Dan Bishop for Attorney General
  • Luke Farley for Labor Commissioner
  • Mike Causey for Insurance Commissioner

“Small business is the foundation of North Carolina’s economy,” NFIB State Director Gregg Thompson said. “These four essential positions hold significant influence over the regulatory, legal, and economic landscape that directly impacts Main Street.

“By supporting the candidates who support small business, we can help create and maintain an environment that reduces unnecessary regulatory burdens, enables small businesses to grow and create jobs, and strengthens local economies”

The general election is on Tuesday, Nov. 5. In-person absentee voting begins on Oct. 17 and ends on Nov. 2.

The NFIB North Carolina PAC’s endorsements are important to these campaigns. Small business owners and their employees vote in high numbers and are known for actively recruiting friends, family members and acquaintances to go to the polls. NFIB’s political support is based on the candidates’ positions and records on key small-business issues.
