J.J. Darby, owner of the Columbia government relations firm Tallon Darby Communications, was chosen as state director of the National Federation of Independent Business in early 2009. He previously worked as a lobbyist with The Palmetto Policy Group in Columbia. He was a consultant with Richard Quinn & Associates of Columbia and served Gov. Mark Sanford as director of boards and commissions.
