Minda McGonagle
NFIB/New Mexico State Director

Minda McGonagle was named state director on Nov. 1, 2009. She was raised in New Mexico and graduated from University of New Mexico. She worked as a reporter for the Santa Fe New Mexican, before moving into public relations and marketing, first with the New Mexico Credit Union Association as its director of government affairs, and later through her own business, McGonagle Governmental Relations, which she opened in 1991.

For the next 10 years, she successfully worked the Roundhouse representing multiple business interests and trade associations in the areas of finance, real estate appraising, insurance, energy, mining and NFIB. A chance to try something new presented itself in 2001 when the New Mexico Youth Soccer Corporation asked her to serve a year as executive director. After initiating legislative capital outlay support for the soccer complex at Santa Ana Pueblo, McGonagle joined her husband in building their construction company. She joyfully returned to lobbying and immediately reunited with NFIB. In addition to representing NFIB and other business interests, Minda McGonagle is a public policy consultant for the law firm of Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck.
