Tony Gagliardi joined NFIB as the state director in Colorado in 2005 and was later named Wyoming state director as well. Along his life's journey, Gagliardi has been a seminarian, bull rider, locomotive engineer, sporting goods wholesaler, estate planner and a lobbyist.
In 1996, Gagliardi embarked on his lobbying career with the Denver-based firm of McElvoy and Kyle. Two years later, he established his own firm and quickly built a stable of clients that included the Quiet Resources Railroad Company, Cripple Creek Casino Association, Mobil Tool International, Colorado Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, National Association of Royalty Owners, Colorado Childcare Association, and Intelaguard.
The challenge of being the voice of Colorado and Wyoming small business owners lured Gagliardi to his present position as state director for America's largest small business advocacy organization, NFIB. In this job, he lobbies on behalf of the state's small business owners, which includes constantly reminding policymakers that they are not smaller versions of big business, but have different difficulties in remaining solvent. Gagliardi and his wife make their home in Firestone.
