Tax Cuts and Jobs Act –

An Overview of What the New Federal Tax Law Means to Your Business and You

President Trump signed the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act into law on December 22, 2017. The law is the most comprehensive change in federal tax law in over thirty years, significantly reforming taxes for individuals and businesses. Enactment of the law followed expedited consideration of the legislation by Congress in the fall. Throughout the legislative process, NFIB ensured that small businesses received substantial tax relief before supporting the bills that turned into law. As the focus shifts from legislation to implementation, NFIB will continue to advocate for small business owners at the Treasury and Internal Revenue Service.

This webinar will provide an overview of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act’s impact on small businesses and individuals. The webinar will cover changes in rates, accounting, deductions, and credits. It will highlight implementation issues and provide action items for small business owners as they prepare for the tax changes, many of which begin in 2018.
