Guest speaker, Dr. Joe Minarik, provided a bipartisan perspective on what it could take to reduce the national debt. Dr. Minarik currently serves as the Senior VP and Director of Research, Committee for Economic Development.  Over the last year he worked with former Senate Budget Committee Chair Pete Domenici and former OMB Director Alice Rivlin and 16 former government officials and budget experts to develop a comprehensive plan to reduce the nation’s debt.  He was the chief economist at the Office of Management and Budget for the eight years of the Clinton administration. Get a behind-the-scenes look at some of the policies that Congress will likely consider this year as federal debt reduction debate moves forward.
