Unemployment Benefits Increases Again, Learn More at NFIB’s Upcoming Webinar

October 16, 2025

Massachusetts's maximum weekly benefit amount for unemployment recipients increased to $1,105 a week.

In October, the maximum weekly benefit amount for unemployment recipients increased to $1,105 a week in Massachusetts because it is indexed to the state average weekly wage. This latest change comes on the heels of a unique Massachusetts law being triggered allowing beneficiaries to collect 30-weeks of unemployment, the longest duration in the nation.

NFIB is hosting a webinar to explain the current Unemployment Insurance mess that keeps getting progressively worse. Employers are currently responsible for repaying nearly $5 billion in pandemic related UI debt while benefits continue to increase and the threat of a massive tax hike looms on the horizon if lawmakers fail to act.

Sign up for this FREE event to learn what you can do to help urge your elected officials to reform the state’s broken UI system. Register today!
