NFIB Urges Lawmakers to Keep Oklahoma a Small Business State

February 3, 2025

“NFIB will continue to work with lawmakers to make it easier to do business here in Oklahoma.”

OKLAHOMA CITY (Feb. 3, 2025) – Ahead of Governor Kevin Stitt’s State of the State address to the 60th Oklahoma Legislature, NFIB State Director Jerrod Shouse urged lawmakers to keep small business priorities in mind and promote economic growth.

“Oklahoma is a small business state. Despite serious economic challenges, small business owners continue to compete, innovate, and create good-paying jobs for more than half of working Oklahomans. Although Main Street is more optimistic about the economy following the election, inflation continues to put pressure on prices, while qualified applicants remain in short supply. Cutting taxes and rolling back burdensome regulations would help ensure that family-owned businesses can create jobs, expand their operations, and thrive. NFIB will continue to work with lawmakers to make it easier to do business here in Oklahoma.”
