SACRAMENTO, Calif., Jan. 7, 2026—California’s leading small business association today announced its new Leadership Council chair and vice-chair for 2026.
Leadership Council member Beth Booth is now chair of the council. Booth is co-owner, along with her husband, Marshall, of Spaces Renewed, a residential design-and-build firm in Oceanside (San Diego County). NFIB called on Booth to fly to Washington, D.C. to provide remarks at a press conference outside Congress about the importance of making the 20% Small Business Tax Deduction permanent, which it was. Booth can be reached at 760-637-2175, bbooth@spacesrenewed.com.
Jeff Pardini, a third-generation owner of the Hills Flat Lumber Co. in Grass Valley (Nevada County), is stepping up as vice-chair of NFIB California’s Leadership Council. With a second location in Colfax, Pardini’s business, which was started by his grandfather in 1921, is a full line lumber yard and home center that also stocks appliances and Carhart clothing. Pardini can be reached at 530-273-6171, jeffpa@hillsflatlumber.com.
Remaining as chair of the NFIB Leadership Council PAC Committee will be Paul Cramer, president and COO for his family-owned business, Star Milling Co. in Perris. His Riverside County-based business manufactures pet and animal food, which is distributed on the West Coast, Hawaii, and exported to many countries in the Pacific Rim and Mexico. Cramer can be reached at 951-657-3143, paul_cramer@starmilling.com.
“I’m very excited Beth Booth and Jeff Pardini have agreed to lead NFIB California. Now that politics and public policy have become ceaseless, every day, every year endeavors, both have the energy and experience to meet the constant challenges thrown at small business survival. I’m also very grateful Paul Cramer has agreed to stay on as chairman of our PAC in this crucial election year. Finally, I want to commend the stellar job our outgoing Leadership Council Chairman Max Ordonez did in leveraging his extensive public policy experience to open a few more doors for the small business message to be heard by policymakers.”
Members of NFIB’s state leadership councils:
- testify at legislative hearings involving small-business issues
- host lawmakers for a tour of your business operations
- be a quotable contact for the media
- assist in implementing the political strategy for elections, including recruitment, endorsements, fundraising, and other grassroots efforts
- help shape questions for the state ballot, the results from which are considered by lawmakers, state constitutional officers, and the bureaucracy to be the true voice of small business.
