CARSON CITY, Nev., Oct. 10, 2024—Five Nevada state legislators have been presented their Guardian of Small Business Award statuettes for their unwavering support of Main Street, mom-and-pop enterprises, it was announced today.

“The five Nevada lawmakers we honored all had 100% pro-small-business voting records during the last session of the State Legislature,” said Tray Abney, Nevada state director for the National Federation of independent Business (NFIB), the nation’s voice of small business. “Their unwavering support for the smaller businesses of our state, which employ half of Nevadans and give most people their first start in their working lives, mark them as supporters of small business in deeds, not just in words.”

The Guardian awards went to:

  • Carrie Buck, District 5
  • Lisa Krasner, District 16
  • Assemblywoman Jill Dickman, District 31
  • Assemblywoman Danielle Gallant, District 23
  • Assemblyman P.K. O’Neill, District 40

Both the Nevada Assembly and Nevada Senate were graded on seven issues in common that came from or into their chambers during the last session of the Legislature (2023); Senators were graded on an eighth. A brief description of the issues, NFIB’s positions on them, the outcome, and how each of 21 senators and 42 assembly members voted on them can be read here.
