SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Oct. 9, 2024—The political action committee for Utah’s largest and leading small business association today announced its endorsement of Gov. Spencer Cox for re-election.

“In far too many states, helping small businesses is only a talking point for politicians, but Governor Cox’s fundamental appreciation of the central role they play in every economy has helped make Utah the best place in the nation to start and sustain a Main Street enterprise,” said Casey Hill, Utah state director for the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), speaking for the NFIB UT PAC, which made the endorsement.

The independent analysis of nine groups confirm Utah’s standing as one of the better run states in the nation, with the highest mark, No. 1, given by the American Legislative Exchange Council’s Rich States Poor States; US News’ Best States; and the Archbridge Institute’s Social Mobility in the 50 States. In addition to the nine, the Pew Center and Wallet Hub have also given Utah the best grades.

“No other governor in the country has steered his or her ship of state through all the post-pandemic problems thrown at their economies better than Governor Cox has,” added Hill. “It’s because of his steady guidance that all businesses are better off and better prepared to deal with whatever new crises might surface.”
