What Election Means for Iowa Small Business

Iowa Governor: NFIB IA PAC-endorsed Kim Reynolds won her re-election race easily by more than 18% of the vote. U.S. Senate: Chuck Grassley, who was also endorsed by the NFIB Fed PAC, will continue to serve Iowa, he won his re-election race by a little more than 12% of the vote. U.S. House: Mariannette Miller Meeks (District 1) won her re-election race by more than 6 votes this time and more than 5% of the vote. Ashley Hinson (District 2) won her re-election race by more than 8% of the vote. Zach Nunn beat incumbent Cindy Axne (District 3) by over 2,000 votes. Randy Feenstra (District 4) won his re-election race by 37% of the vote. All four winning candidates were NFIB Fed PAC-endorsed. Iowa House: The Iowa House Republicans picked up 4 seats and will now have a 64-36 Majority. Iowa Senate: The Iowa Senate Republicans picked up 2 seats and will have a larger majority of 34-16. Other Statewide Races: Iowa will have a new State Treasurer as State Senator and NFIB IA PAC-endorsed candidate Roby Smith defeated 40+ year Incumbent Michael Fitzgerald.
