Welcome New NFIB Grassroots Manager Bre Mapston!

Bre Mapston was recently named Grassroots Manager of the National Federation of Independent Business for Pennsylvania.

She will work closely with State Director Greg Moreland to help run NFIB’s grassroots programs and encourage members to participate in the legislative and political processes.

“We’re thrilled Bre has joined our team,” Senior Grassroots Manager Jamie Cobby said. “She brings a wealth of digital advocacy knowledge alongside direct grassroots experience, which will help guide members to effectively influence small business legislation.”

Originally from Dallas, Texas, Bre received her undergraduate degree in Communication Studies from the University of North Texas. She obtained her Master’s in Communication Arts and Sciences from Penn State University, where she researched digital advocacy and presented her work internationally. Bre transitioned to a staff position with Penn State working in government affairs in 2018. There she re-branded and re-built a broad-based advocacy initiative to advance institutional priorities at the state and federal levels. She also ran communication efforts for the Office of Government and Community Relations and advised a student organization.

“I am so excited to join NFIB’s grassroots team and look forward to amplifying the voice of small business,” said Bre Mapston. “The entrepreneurial system is fundamental to the American Dream; supporting all who wish to follow that dream is crucial to promoting small business development and entrepreneurship. I cannot wait to work with members to strengthen their influence in their communities and beyond.”

Bre currently resides in central Pennsylvania with her fiancé, rabbit, and the sweetest dog in the world. She enjoys traveling (Belgium is her current favorite), local coffee shops, and hiking the Allegheny Mountains. Bre can be reached at bre.mapston@nfib.org.
