TAKE ACTION: Ask Your Lawmaker to Support the Small Business Disaster Recovery Loan Program

August 18, 2025

These disaster recovery loans can help small business owners keep their employees on payroll and help communities rebuild.

When disasters strike, small business disaster loans are a critical lifeline to Main Street. These programs help with immediate needs to rebuild or repair the business, help maintain cash flow, and bridge the gap while waiting for insurance payouts or federal assistance.

The Texas legislature is currently in special session and considering a bill to consolidate recovery programs, so more small businesses can access much needed capital in the event of a disaster.

Contact your lawmakers today and ask them to fix the disaster loan program!
