SACRAMENTO, Calif., Sept. 26, 2022—The political action committee for California’s largest and leading small-business association today announced its endorsement of Phillip Chen for State Assembly.

“Assembly Member Chen is a true friend of small business with the voting record to prove it,” said John Kabateck, California state director for the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), speaking for the NFIB CA PAC, which made the endorsement. “There’s never been a time in our state’s history when small businesses have been battered by so much. Our state’s government should not pile on. Main Street, mom-and-pop enterprises are thankful Assembly Member Chen has our back in Sacramento.”

The 59th State Assembly District takes in portions of Orange and San Bernardino counties, including the cities of Brea, Chino, Chino Hills, Fullerton, Orange, Placentia, Villa Park, and Yorba Linda.

NFIB’s national membership spans the spectrum of business operations, ranging from sole proprietor enterprises to firms with hundreds of employees. While there is no standard definition of a small business, the typical NFIB member employs 10 people and reports gross sales of about $500,000 a year.
