Senate Panel Hears from Small Business on Texas Regulatory Consistency Act

This week, the Senate Business & Commerce Committee heard testimony from local job creators in support of the Texas Regulatory Consistency Act (SB 814 / HB 2127) which would limit the scope of regulations on small businesses to the state and federal levels. This comes after NFIB testified before the House State Affairs Committee, urging lawmakers to get the bill across the finish line this legislative session. During the hearing, NFIB member Tom Kenney said: “This law is the right thing to do. This law will help bring consistency and be applied fairly. We have multiple municipalities passing multiple bills that have a major impact on how we operate our business. I strongly urge encourage the passing of the Texas Regulatory Consistency Act.” CLICK HERE to tell your representative to vote ‘yes’ on SB 814 / HB 2127.
