Learn more about our recent LC meeting
NFIB’s Ohio Leadership Council gathered on October 16th in Columbus for our 4th quarter meeting. The group discussed a variety of topics, including property tax reform, the latest efforts on redistricting, health care legislation, and more. The group also heard from a few guest speakers on small business-related policy issues.
“We had a productive discussion at our latest Leadership Council meeting and hit on a lot of issues that are currently impacting our members,” said Jared Weiser, NFIB Ohio State Director. “2026 is going to be a big year for small businesses legislatively and politically, and our Leadership Council is ready to engage with lawmakers and advocate for Main Street.”
Bill Seitz, co-chair of the Ohio Property Tax Reform Working Group, and Beth Blackmarr of Citizens for Property Tax Reform joined to discuss developments on property tax reform at the Ohio Statehouse, an issue that will significantly impact Ohio’s small business community.
NFIB also recognized several members for their membership and dedication to small businesses. “We were honored to recognize a few of our long-time members and personally thank them for all they have done to advocate for small businesses.” said Weiser.
