NH ACTION ALERT: Mad About High Healthcare Costs?

Make Your Voice Heard – Tell Lawmakers to Lower, Not Raise Healthcare Costs

All over New Hampshire, people are mad about rising health insurance premiums. Small businesses, employees, and families are feeling the squeeze, but some politicians in Concord want to make the problem even worse.

Politicians should be listening to the hardworking men and women who pay the bills, not to special interest lobbyists from Big Pharma, Big Insurance, and Big Hospitals.

Instead of driving down costs and help people find more affordable options, new proposals at the State House will make your health coverage even more expensive. There are more than a dozen bills that would cause premiums to skyrocket again next year, including:

– Higher taxes on your health insurance

– More expensive, one-size-fits-all mandates, and

– Increasing the cost of already expensive medications.

One-size-fits-all coverage mandates make health insurance more expensive and force people to pay for things they don’t need or want.

For example, a New Hampshire proposal to require everyone with private health insurance to pay for expensive weight loss drugs could increase premiums by 14%!

And, incredibly, some New Hampshire lawmakers even want to follow Vermont’s lead on healthcare regulation by making it harder to control the cost of very expensive prescription drugs. When Vermont banned a cost control too known as “white bagging,” premiums SKYROCKETED.
