NFIB Urges Arizona Legislature to Move on Small Business Priorities

PHOENIX (Jan. 6, 2023) – As Arizona’s 56th Legislature gavels into session today, NFIB State Director Chad Heinrich issued the following statement urging legislators to keep small businesses’ interests in mind. “Small business is the backbone of Arizona’s economy, with as many as 1.1 million Arizonans employed by more than 640,000 small businesses in our state. While a lot has been accomplished to ensure small businesses in Arizona can thrive, more work needs to be done. Local job creators continue to pay an inequitable share of the property tax burden and face a myriad of challenges posed by state regulatory agencies daily. We look forward to working with our new Governor, her cabinet members, and the legislature to adopt policies that help improve the business environment for small businesses in Arizona.”
