NFIB Texas Announces Jeff Burdett as New State Director

AUSTIN (Dec. 5, 2023) – NFIB, the country’s leading small business advocacy organization, announced today that Jeff Burdett has been named Texas State Director. Jeff brings 26 years of experience in Austin to bear on behalf of our more than 21,000 small business members across Texas.

“We’re thrilled to have Jeff join our team to lead Texas,” NFIB Senior State Director Dawn McVea said. “He has devoted his career to public service and advocacy. The early part of his career was spent working in both chambers of the Texas Legislature, where he gained a thorough understanding of the legislative process and built invaluable relationships. For nearly two decades, Jeff has worked on public policy; advocating at all levels of government, executing legislative priorities and organizational goals and managing a Top 20 Texas PAC. He understands the important role NFIB plays in ensuring policymakers consider the impact of their decisions on small business owners and promoting policy solutions that will keep Texas job creators thriving.”

“NFIB has established a reputation here in Austin and across the country as a top-tier advocacy organization, and I’m honored to join the team,” Burdett said. “Our mission is simple: ensure small business owners can own, operate, and grow their businesses. As state director, I look forward to ensuring the Voice of Small Business is heard by policymakers and working on behalf of our local job creators to keep Texas a small business haven.”
