Legislation would be largest mandate on small business in state history

NFIB Renews Anti-Paid Leave Mandate Campaign in Minnesota

The National Federation of Independent Business, or NFIB, which represents over 10,000 small businesses in every corner of the state, announced a renewed drive of its statewide anti-Paid Family and Medical Leave (PFML) mandate campaign, urging small business owners to contact their lawmakers during this crucial phase of the negotiations. The PFML mandate is a 24-week government-run paid leave program and $1.5 billion payroll tax. NFIB’s new ads urge small business owners to contact their legislators and tell them this one-size-fits-all mandate won’t work on Main Street.     NFIB’s anti-PFML campaign has been active since the beginning of the 2023 Minnesota Legislative Session, with radio and digital ads running across the state.
