NFIB Releases New Ad in Wisconsin Thanking Senator Ron Johnson for Supporting Small Business Deduction

The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), the nation’s leading small business advocacy organization, announced a new, national paid advertising campaign in Wisconsin featuring a video ad thanking Senator Ron Johnson for supporting efforts to make the 20% Small Business Deduction permanent. Watch the NFIB Small Business Deduction 30-second video ad here: https://youtu.be/O894YkSCgh8 “Small businesses are the foundation of our economy, yet more than 30 million of them are about to face a massive tax hike that would hurt their ability to create jobs and give back to their communities,” said NFIB President Brad Close. “Suddenly removing tax savings will decimate America’s small businesses, who have used the 20% Small Business Deduction to overcome significant hurdles like inflation, hiring shortages, and supply chain disruptions. The Main Street Tax Certainty Act would make the 20% Small Business Deduction permanent and avoid a massive tax hike on nine out of 10 small businesses.  Congress must pass the Main Street Tax Certainty Act now to level the playing field and help small businesses compete.” “Senator Ron Johnson has been a strong advocate for small businesses in Wisconsin, and we want to thank him for his support,” said NFIB State Director Bill G. Smith. “Small businesses are the backbone of our economy, and this deduction has been crucial in helping them overcome economic challenges. Congress must pass the Main Street Tax Certainty Act to make the 20% Small Business Deduction permanent.” The 20% Small Business Deduction was created as a part of the 2017 tax law to level the playing field between small businesses and larger corporations. It has empowered small business owners to overcome the economic challenges of the last few years – but it’s set to expire at the end of 2025. The Main Street Tax Certainty Act would make the 20% Small Business Deduction permanent and avoid a massive tax hike on a majority of America’s small businesses.
