NFIB Radio Ad Urges Congress to Stop Tax Hike

NFIB released a new radio ad today in Georgia. The ad continues NFIB’s efforts to urge members of Congress to stop the massive tax hike on small businesses by passing the Main Street Tax Certainty Act to make the 20% Small Business Deduction permanent. Listen to the 30-second Georgia radio ad here: “Small businesses are the foundation of our economy, yet more than 30 million of them are about to face a massive tax hike that would hurt their ability to create jobs and give back to their communities,” NFIB President Brad Close said. “Georgia’s small businesses simply can’t afford a 20 percent tax increase, especially one that’s as avoidable as this,” NFIB State Director Hunter Loggins said. “Small businesses used this deduction to help overcome tremendous obstacles like inflation, supply chain disruptions, and finding, training, and retaining workers. If this deduction is allowed to expire, Main Street businesses will really be in a tough spot, and some local businesses may have to close.” The 20% Small Business Deduction was created as a part of the 2017 tax law to level the playing field between small businesses and larger corporations. It has empowered small business owners to overcome the economic challenges of the last few years – but it’s set to expire at the end of 2025. The Main Street Tax Certainty Act would make the 20% Small Business Deduction permanent and avoid a massive tax hike on a majority of America’s small businesses.
