Charles Weintritt is president of Davis Products Inc., which has been an NFIB member business for over 50 years
NFIB, Louisiana’s leading small business advocacy organization, has recognized Charles Weintritt of Bogalusa with the 2025 NFIB Small Business Champion Award. Weintritt is president of Davis Products Inc., a building maintenance supply company that has been an NFIB member for more than 50 years.
NFIB State Director Leah Long presented the award during Louisiana Economic Development’s Small Business Awards ceremony Thursday at the Hilton Baton Rouge Capitol Center.
“Davis Products joined NFIB in 1972,” Long said. “Fifty-three years of continuous membership is a rare and impressive achievement, especially given the economic ups and downs, shifting market trends, and changing business landscape of the past half-century.”
The company was founded in 1959 by Weintritt’s father. It began as a lawn mower repair shop, and Dick Weintritt drove more than 140 miles round-trip to New Orleans each week to pick up pre-sold brooms and mops for local customers. It has since become one of the largest suppliers of facility maintenance and janitorial supplies on the Northshore.
“Davis Products has been an integral part of its community since the Eisenhower administration, witnessing and adapting to significant changes and challenges,” Long added. “Its continued affiliation with NFIB highlights the critical role small businesses play in building and sustaining a strong economy.”
NFIB presents the award annually to recognize member businesses that demonstrate resilience, longevity, and consistent support for Louisiana’s small business community.
NFIB is a member-driven organization advocating on behalf of small and independent businesses nationwide.
