NFIB Minnesota Fights EV Parking Mandate

Earlier this year, the Minnesota Legislature passed a sweeping mandate requiring new or remodeled parking facilities to include dedicated spaces for electric vehicle charging. Now, the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry (DLI) is developing regulations to implement the mandate. Last month, NFIB Minnesota submitted a letter and draft amendments to DLI that would exempt most small business owners and stop the government from wasting your money on expensive, empty parking spaces. Small business owners shouldn’t have to subsidize the business plans of large multinational automakers or the “green” fantasies of out-of-touch lawmakers.
