NFIB Illinois PAC Makes Primary Endorsements

February 23, 2026

NFIB Illinois PAC weighs in on five legislative primary races

The NFIB IL PAC endorsed five incumbent legislators in Illinois’ primary elections:

–  Tony McCombine (89th House District)

–  Norine Hammond (97th House District)

–  Brad Halbrook (107th House District)

–  Charlie Meier (109th House District)

–  Dave Severin (116th House District)

All five have pro-small business voting records but are facing primary challenges. The endorsements reflect their support of Illinois’ Main Street businesses.

Early voting for the March 17 primary election is ongoing. To learn about upcoming elections, how to register to vote, where to vote, and other important election information, visit NFIB’s Voting Hub.

The NFIB IL PAC Board—comprised of small-business owners from across the state—considers and approves state legislative endorsements.
