The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) today announced new digital advertisements highlighting Representative Mariannette Miller-Meeks’ (IA-01) support for America’s small businesses by backing efforts in Congress to make the Small Business Tax Deduction permanent.

NFIB will feature digital ads throughout Iowa’s 1^st District, highlighting Rep. Miller-Meeks’ support for the Small Business Tax Deduction. These ads continue NFIB’s multi-year, multi-state advocacy effort to ensure the 20% Small Business Tax Deduction is made permanent. The ads will also spotlight NFIB members sharing in their own words, via video ads, how the Small Business Tax Deduction has empowered them to grow and invest in their small businesses, along with the consequences if Congress fails to act.

Miller-Meeks understands the importance of the Small Business Deduction and has been a leading voice in Congress to make it permanent. With Congress currently considering sweeping tax legislation, we are hopeful that lawmakers act quickly and protect America’s small businesses from a massive tax increase.”

The Small Business Tax Deduction, first passed as part of the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, allows small business owners to deduct up to 20% of their qualified business income, helping level the playing field between small firms and large corporations.
