Lawmakers will return to Raleigh on Jan. 11
NFIB Gearing Up for General Assembly
- Tax reform. NFIB is continuing to fight for the reduction and elimination of the franchise tax, an increase in the personal standard deduction, and reducing the personal and corporate income tax rates.
- North Carolina’s worker shortage. We will work with the Community College System to promote classes in the career areas needing workers the most and relax regulations to assist with hiring employees.
- Repeal the state tax on services. We’ll also oppose efforts to impose additional taxes on services and other small businesses.
