NFIB is already preparing to fight for legislation that helps Louisiana’s small businesses
This year’s regular session of the Louisiana Legislature doesn’t start until April 14, but NFIB is already laying the groundwork to ensure the voices of small businesses will be heard on a number of key issues.
When lawmakers do return to Baton Rouge, our legislative priorities will include:
- Workers’ Compensation Reform: Small businesses need workers’ comp policies that are fair and affordable. High costs can hurt their ability to stay in business.
- Insurance Reform: Making insurance more affordable helps small businesses manage risks and keep their operations running smoothly.
- Continued Tax Relief: Tax relief means small businesses could keep more of the money they earn, allowing them expand, hire additional workers, and support their local communities.
- Swipe Fees: Lowering credit card swipe fees saves small businesses money, which is especially important during these tough economic times.
Let us know what issues matter most to you! Visit www.NFIB.com/VoteMyBallot to complete this year’s member ballot, or contact NFIB State Director Leah Long directly at leah.long@NFIB.org. By working together, we can ensure that Virginia remains a great place to start and grow a small business.
