New Jersey Election 2022 Recap

The New Jersey Congressional delegation picked up another Republican seat with the election of NFIB-endorsed candidate Tom Kean in the 7th District. There will now be three Republicans and nine Democrats representing New Jersey in the U.S. House of Representatives, which will have a new Republican majority come January.

Kean, a former state senator with a strong pro-small-business record, solidly defeated incumbent Tom Malinowski and will be joining 4th District Congressman Chris Smith and 2nd District Congressman Jeff Van Drew in Washington. Unfortunately, Bob Healey, whom NFIB also endorsed, lost his race to Congressman Andy Kim in the 3rd District. Many thanks to all our membership who worked to get out the small business vote.
