A late morning session of meetings with Lt. Governor Mike Foley, Senator Linehan, Senator Stinner, and Speaker Hilgers covering Property Tax Relief, Corporate Income Tax Rate Reductions, Individual Income Tax Rate Reduction, Workers’ Compensation Benefits, Paid Family Medical Leave, and Paid Sick Leave. Continental refreshments will be provided. Speakers

Senator Stinner

John Stinner was elected in 2014 to represent the citizens of Scottsbluff County in the Nebraska Legislature. Prior to taking office, Senator Stinner was a certified public accountant at Peat Marwick Mitchell & Co. (KPMG). He earned a degree in Business Administration and Economics from the University of Nebraska.

Senator Linehan

Senator Lou Ann Linehan was elected to the Nebraska Legislature in 2016 and represents Elkhorn, Valley, Waterloo and areas of Omaha and Millard west of 180th Street. Senator Linehan is chairman of the Revenue Committee and serves on the Education Committee.

Speaker Hilgers

Speaker Hilgers is a successful attorney with well over a decade of courtroom experience defending his clients’ rights around the country, and he is a small business owner and entrepreneur who founded a nationally recognized company. Speaker Hilgers has served in the Legislature since 2017 and has been entrusted with leadership by his colleagues every year since his election. He has served as the Rules Chairman, the Chair of the Executive Board, and was elected the Speaker of the 107th Legislature.

Lt. Governor Mike Foley

Mike Foley became the Lieutenant Governor in 2015 after being elected to the position as the running mate of Governor Pete Ricketts. Mr. Foley served two terms as the Nebraska Auditor of Public Accounts from 2007 through 2015. His work in that office resulted in the exposure of many millions of dollars of waste, fraud and inefficiency in government operations. Prior to his election as Auditor, Mike served six years in the Nebraska Unicameral Legislature as the State Senator for the 29th District in South Lincoln.
