Missouri House Passes HB 567 & Supreme Court Hears Prop A Case

Before the legislative spring break began, the House passed HB 567 – legislation that would undo most of Prop A. Ninety-six legislators voted yes and the bill now heads to the Senate. NFIB will continue to support HB 567 and will urge members of the Senate to pass it.

HB 567 ultimately eliminates several harmful provisions in Prop A. It would eliminate paid sick leave, eliminate CPI, and would move the minimum wage increase back by two years.

Last week the Missouri Supreme Court heard oral arguments in NFIB’s Prop A case – we will keep you posted on the Court’s ruling, which could come down any time.

Small Business Day – Save the Date!
