LISTEN: Construction Workers Can Still Drink Water & Take Rest Breaks

“The [Texas Regulatory Consistency Act] does not in any way prohibit rest and water breaks,” NFIB State Director Annie Spilman said in a conversation with Sergio Sanchez. “It will have zero negative effect on the construction or building industry practice of allowing rest and water breaks.” LISTEN: Small Business Owners Will Benefit from Regulatory Consistency During the conversation, Spilman argued it’s disingenuous for local governments to suggest workers will be harmed by the repeal of ordinances that in the vast majority of cases, haven’t been adopted.
