Indiana: Small Business to Lawmakers: Vote YES on HB 1004
- Provides a tax credit incentive to small businesses that offer an Individual Coverage Health Reimbursement Arrangement (ICHRA) to their employees. ICHRAs will create more competition among insurance providers.
- Requires hospitals to bill patients for the care they receive at the accurate site/location the service was provided. Increasing hospital accountability for honest billing practices will have an immediate impact on lowering health care costs.
- Requires certain claims data to be provided to employers upon request. Increasing transparency of health care costs will enable employers to make more informed decision about offering and selecting the most affordable plans for their employees.
