Illinois General Assembly Wraps up Lame-Duck Session

New Illinois General Assembly Sworn In

The Illinois General Assembly wrapped up its final legislative activity for the 103 General Assembly on January 7 and the new 104 General Assembly was sworn in on January 8.

Prior to gaveling out the 103 General Assembly, legislators passed a number of new bills, sending them on to the governor to sign. These new bills include:

  • Regulation of warehouse production/work quotas.
  • Additional enforcement measures for the One Day Rest in Seven Act.
  • An energy omnibus bill.

Legislators left Springfield on January 9 and are scheduled to return on January 28.
