SB1550 goes a long way toward addressing the issue by helping control prescription costs

Governor Signs Pharmacy Benefits Bill

NFIB State Executive Director Bill Herrle today thanked Gov. Ron DeSantis for signing Senate Bill 1550, pharmacy benefits reform legislation. “This is something that Florida’s small businesses desperately needed. Health benefits are a perennial challenge for small businesses, and SB1550 goes a long way toward addressing the issue by helping control prescription costs. It also protects independent pharmacies from predatory practices that caused them to actually lose money when filling certain prescriptions. “On behalf of our members, I want to thank Sen. Jason Brodeur and Rep. Linda Chaney for pushing back against strong opposition from the PBM industry and pushing this important bill through the legislature, and I want to thank Governor DeSantis for moving so quickly to sign it into law.
