Florida Small Businesses Applaud Rent Tax Elimination in Gov. DeSantis FY 2025-26 Budget

NFIB responds to the governor’s budget proposal

NFIB, Florida’s leading small business advocacy organization, issued the following statement from Bill Herrle, NFIB Florida Executive Director, in response to Governor Ron DeSantis’ budget proposal for Fiscal Year (FY) 2025-2026:

“Florida’s small businesses applaud Governor DeSantis’ proposed budget and its focus on fiscal responsibility. Repealing the state’s Business Rent Tax will provide small businesses with much-appreciated tax relief and allow small employers to further invest in their businesses and employees. Small businesses thank Governor DeSantis for his continued leadership and commitment to Florida’s small business community.”
