Find Out Which Minnesota Lawmakers Stood With Small Business

The National Federation of Independent Business, or NFIB, announced today that 93 members of the Minnesota Legislature — 30 members of the Senate, 63 members of the House?—?achieved a 100% NFIB?Voting?Record?in the 2023-24 biennium. “When a lawmaker scores 100% on the NFIB Voting Record, you know they understand that small businesses are the backbone of communities across Minnesota,” stated NFIB State Director John Reynolds. “We are grateful for lawmakers who stand with the hardworking women and men on Main Street. Small business owners face serious challenges in Minnesota, and we know these lawmakers will have their backs.” NFIB represents more than 10,000 small business owners in Minnesota. The average NFIB member employs ten people and earns $500,000 in annual revenue. The NFIB Voting Record reflects small business priorities and positions on key legislative issues, as determined by the members under the One Member, One Vote policy. Lawmakers are informed of NFIB’s position in advance of each key vote. The 2023-24 NFIB?Voting?Record?does not reflect every element considered by lawmakers when?voting, nor does it represent a complete profile of the legislators. The voting record includes 14 key?votes?in both chambers on issues important to small businesses including tax relief, lawsuit reform, and regulations. It does not factor in that many of these legislators supported small businesses in committees, as well.
