Employer Reminder: State Mandated Sexual Harassment Prevention Training

Illinois law requires all employers to provide all employees annual training to prevent sexual harassment in the workplace. The Illinois Department of Human Rights oversees these training requirements and implementation of the law.

Every employer, regardless of size, must meet the training requirement. If you do not have a training policy or program in place, the best place to start is at the department’s web page for employers.

Employers can access FAQs, training videos, and other resources at no cost. Restaurants and Bars must meet more rigorous standards, which are addressed at the web site.
