ACTION ALERT–Speak out against CARB's Climate Change Scoping Plan at its June 23 meeting
This Thursday, June 23, at 9 a.m., the California Air Resources Board (CARB) will hold its first public board meeting on the 2022 Climate Change Scoping Plan, and we need your help in urging the Board to address the impacts on everything from costs to energy reliability.
Please join us at the Board hearing to make comment in Sacramento or remotely via Zoom. To attend virtually, click the ‘Register Now’ link below to join via Zoom.
We are all committed to lowering emissions but all of the scenarios CARB has put together ignore reality, including lack of infrastructure, increased costs, economic damage, and grid reliability that California is not prepared for.
The Scoping Plan will:
- Risk California’s food security by asking farmers to rely on a grid that is prone to blackouts and power outages
- Disproportionally impact rural and inland communities who lack infrastructure and charging stations
- Create inequities because it will increase costs for utilities, food, and other necessities

If you are able to attend in person, the address is:
