A Packed Schedule for Small Business Day on May 17

We look forward to seeing you at this year’s NFIB Ohio Small Business Day at the Capitol, scheduled for Wednesday, May 17, 2023.  The program portion of the event will take place at the Athletic Club of Columbus before moving to the Ohio Statehouse for a luncheon with state legislative leaders. We invite all NFIB members in Ohio to take the time to come to Columbus and speak with their elected officials about the important role small businesses play in Ohio’s economy. We look forward to seeing you in person on May 17! The cost is $30 per person and includes lunch and materials. REGISTER HERE! 8:00 a.m. – 8:45 a.m. Registration 8:45 a.m. – Noon   Our General Session will feature key small business topics, speakers from all three branches of government, and a legislative briefing by the NFIB Ohio staff. Lt. Governor Jon Husted, Senate President (NFIB Member) Matt Huffman, and Ohio Speaker of the House Jason Stephens are all confirmed to speak. 12:15 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. Legislative Luncheon at the Ohio Statehouse with members of the Ohio General Assembly (Optional) Following Lunch – Legislator and/or Session Visits This event is being held as many pieces of legislation, including the state operating budget, are being reviewed by the Ohio Legislature that impacts entrepreneurs across the state.  Face-to-face interaction with your legislator is the most effective type of communication. There will be no better time for lawmakers to see and hear from the small businesses that create the jobs that drive our economy!
